Black Gaffers Tape For Vinyl Dance Floors

dancers on vinyl dance floorMarley-type vinyl dance floors are used by dance companies to give them a smooth surface to dance on .  It can be put down over wood, tile or concrete floors to create a surface that is ideal for dance movement.

These floors are usually large sheets of vinyl which can be rolled up for storage or transport.  Because they are heavy and difficult to handle, these floors are usually made in strips five feet wide.  In order to create a large floor, multiple pieces need to be laid out on a floor and then seamed together.

Dancers who dance in some type of footwear prefer seams taped with vinyl, a material that feels very much like the vinyl floor material.

Dancers who dance in bare feet prefer having the floor seamed with gaffers tape, since it helps them locate where they are on the floor without looking down.
